Transformers 3 Release Date & Rumored New Project

Recently, Michael Bay has announced in his blog that the release date of the third installment of Transformers will be released in July 1, 2011, not in 2012 as he told the media quite some time ago. And of course our favorite guy Shia LaBeouf will reprise his role as Sam Witwicky! =)

Well its official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012.

Today is Day One. This morning started with an ILM meeting for five hours in San Francisco. Currently I’m flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters.

Another great news is that there is a rumor that Shia will be attached in a new project called The Wettest Country in the World, alongside Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Gosling, Paul Dano, and Michael Shannon.

In what’s shaping up to be a project filled with some of the hottest young actors in Hollywood, Shia LaBeouf, Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Gosling, Paul Dano and Michael Shannon are all attached to star in THE WETTEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, a period drama about Depression-era bootleggers. The project, to be directed by John Hillcoat (THE ROAD), is being shopped around Hollywood to potential financiers. While the production was once set up at Columbia, the film is now trying to go the indie route with producers Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher (GLADIATOR) shepherding the flick.

The story follows three brothers at the center of the moonshine trade with a parallel story about a writer reporting on the trade. That would seem to take care of all four of the male actors above leaving Johansson to play the hot girlfriend or some other thankless role.

Though WETTEST seems to have some serious momentum, none of the actors have signed on and participation at this point is contingent on a number of different factors including money, schedules, scripts, etc.

Nickelodeon Star: I Owe My Career to Shia LaBeouf

Nickelodeon star Matt Shively is more than just Keke Palmer’s goofy sidekick, Ryan Laserbeam, on True Jackson, VP. The 18-year-old, central California native is addicted to his new motorcycle, wants to make indie films and has dreams of becoming the next Shia LaBeouf.

“Shia is the reason I started acting,” Shively tells us.

What else did the up-and-comer have to say? Read on to find out who Shively would like to see do a guest stint on True Jackson (no, it’s not Shia), how he likes zooming around in traffic and why he’s nervous about meeting—you guessed it—Shia!

Who would you like to guest star on True Jackson?

Seth Rogen, because I think it would be funny to see him as a fashion designer with, like, designer shades and leather clothing. He always plays a stoner type. I’d also want him on the show because I want to meet him.

How long do you plan on staying in the tween world?

Only until the show is done, because I’ve never wanted to become the heartthrob or the teen idol. I want to be able to become an adult actor, so it’s kind of hard when you’re pushed out there as a kid actor.

Who inspires you in Hollywood?

Shia LaBeouf is basically the real reason that I started acting. I think it was in fourth grade—Even Stevens was on the air…and it was kind of just a moment in my mind where I realized I wanted to entertain people like he does.Have you tried to meet him?

I haven’t—specifically because I’ve always been afraid of meeting him. Since he is the one I aspire to be like, I’m always afraid he’s going to be really mean. It would shatter my universe.

We hear you just bought a motorcycle.

Yeah, it’s a black 2009 Triumph Thruxton. When it comes to being stressed, I just hop on my bike and zoom through traffic. It makes me feel free.

Megan Fox & Shia LaBeouf: Relationship Transformed?

Transformers stars Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf enjoyed a cozy dinner before the craziness of their Los Angeles premiere Monday night, and RadarOnline.com has the photo to prove it!

Rumors have been sweeping Hollywood that the pair have become much more than just good friends, and they certainly looked totally relaxed in each other’s company at La Bruschetta restaurant in Westwood.

Fox and LaBeouf further fueled the rumors after they were spotted enjoying an early morning coffee-run in Los Angeles on Sunday before she drove him to a physical therapy session on his injured hand.

Shia LaBeouf talks about his favorite video games

When he’s not battling CGI Decepticons, actor Shia Labeouf can be found playing PC games or Xbox 360 online. With his $200 million movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, opening June 24, LaBeouf pulled double duty, working with Activision to fine-tune the second Transformers videogame experience. In addition to adding his voice work and likeness to the new game (co-star Megan Fox also went virtual), LaBeouf told the game makers what he did and did not like about the original game. One new feature that resulted from these conversations was the new online gameplay. LaBeouf talks about his love of videogames, what he played on set, and why he prefers Civ IV to Wii in this exclusive interview.

What videogames did you like playing growing up?
Mortal Kombat, Doom, Donkey Kong, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mario Kart

What’s your favorite videogame memory from when you were younger?
I remember playing Mario Kart with my Dad for the first time and this is after years of my Dad just s****ing on videogames. Just like you’re a loser. Finally, after playing Mario Kart, my Dad looks over at me and says, “I like playing as the mushroom.” That’s all he had to say. It’s one of those memories you remember for the rest of your life like when your Dad uses a cell phone for the first time or text messages you for the first time. That type of stuff. Yeah, I like playing as the mushroom.
