Recently, Michael Bay has announced in his blog that the release date of the third installment of Transformers will be released in July 1, 2011, not in 2012 as he told the media quite some time ago. And of course our favorite guy Shia LaBeouf will reprise his role as Sam Witwicky! =)
Well its official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012.
Today is Day One. This morning started with an ILM meeting for five hours in San Francisco. Currently I’m flying with writer Ehren Kruger to Rhode Island to talk to Hasbro about new characters.

Another great news is that there is a rumor that Shia will be attached in a new project called The Wettest Country in the World, alongside Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Gosling, Paul Dano, and Michael Shannon.
In what’s shaping up to be a project filled with some of the hottest young actors in Hollywood, Shia LaBeouf, Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Gosling, Paul Dano and Michael Shannon are all attached to star in THE WETTEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD, a period drama about Depression-era bootleggers. The project, to be directed by John Hillcoat (THE ROAD), is being shopped around Hollywood to potential financiers. While the production was once set up at Columbia, the film is now trying to go the indie route with producers Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher (GLADIATOR) shepherding the flick.
The story follows three brothers at the center of the moonshine trade with a parallel story about a writer reporting on the trade. That would seem to take care of all four of the male actors above leaving Johansson to play the hot girlfriend or some other thankless role.
Though WETTEST seems to have some serious momentum, none of the actors have signed on and participation at this point is contingent on a number of different factors including money, schedules, scripts, etc.

Shia LaBeouf not only sustained a hand injury last year, but the actor also came close to losing an eye while filming “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”
“I mistimed something and impaled my face. I had a spike in my eye,” Shia told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson. “I had blood coming down my face and it was the dark, dark purplish kind, which is actually a great thing, because if it had been reddish and clear, that means my eye popped.”
The actor’s perseverance through the pain earned him big props from his co-stars after he bounced back so quickly following the bloody injury.

This is a great news for you! Shia and Michael Cera, are in talks to play Mark Zuckerberg in the upcoming movie The Social Network, about the rise of Facebook.
An entertainment industry source tells CNET News that early casting searches are under way and that the list of young actors being eyeballed to play Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg includes both Michael Cera (”Superbad,” “Arrested Development”) and Shia LaBeouf (”Transformers”). They aren’t the only ones, and it’s not clear whether either of those two in-demand actors would want to take a turn away from comedies (Cera) or action movies (LaBeouf) to play Zuckerberg.
David Fincher is also in talks to direct the Columbia Pictures movie, along with Kevin Spacey as the producer, and the script is based on Ben Merzrich’s upcoming book, The Incidental Billionaires, and it’s written by Aaron Sorkin.

As of June 16, for all the consumers of who owned or purchase the original blu-rays were given access to an exclusive sneak peek of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen via BD-Live. Those who purchase the original DVD after that date can also access the same content online using an access code provided on the packaging. In addition to uncut scenes from the new film, there’s also behind-the-scenes content as well as never-before-seen materials from the original film. And here are the special ROTF features at the dvd:
Revenge of the Fallen Scene: “We’re Gonna Die”
This intense scene begins with a car chase as Sam (Shia LaBeouf) and Mikaela (Megan Fox) are chased by a Decepticon in the form of a helicopter, which latches on to the car and carries them away. When it finally lets go, they break through a roof into a warehouse where another destructive robot finds them.
Revenge of the Fallen Scene: “Shanghai”
This scene follows Capt. Lennox (Josh Duhamel) and his team of soldiers (including Tyrese Gibson) through a military siege of a building in Shanghai where more robots in disguise are waiting.
Revenge of the Fallen Scene: “Adobe Hut”
Megan and Shia are trapped in a hut while Decepticons (including Constructicons and Ravager) search the desert outside. But their discovery of a tiny spy robot is their undoing. It ends with an impressive stunt as the two jump from the roof of the building as it’s being torn apart.
“From the set of Revenge of the Fallen: Day 1″
An exclusive inside look from the first day of filming on location in Bethlehem, PA. As the crew sets up, they express their excitement for the beginning of the shoot. Director Michael Bay gives them a little pep talk before getting to work, telling them that this is “one of those movies that can really help make a lot of kids dreams around the world.” He also brandishies a Nike shoe with the promise, “I’m going to be up all your asses.” We also see some of the shooting of the first shot in the movie, which involves a motorcycle chase. There’s also a few effects shots and some pretty fiery explosions. Basically, your average day on a Michael Bay set.
“From the set of Revenge of the Fallen: A Day in the Shade”
Described as “a comical look at the differences between Megan and Shia’s on-set treatment,” this is exactly as advertised. We see a few members of the crew holding umbrellas and fanning Fox with handheld fans, while LaBeouf stands in the sun, smirking at the camera. She protests that it’s because she’s dressed in a full leather jumpsuit. Uh-huh.
